King Lear
SYNOPSIS
King Lear is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare. It is based on the mythological Leir of Britain. King Lear, in preparation for his old age, divides his power and land to two of his daughters. He becomes destitute and insane and a proscribed crux of political machinations.
James stepped into this role only a few weeks before opening night while simultaneously leading On Warner St. the week before. He jumped into tech week with only 3 prior rehearsals, learning his fight choreography and lines on the fly. This was the first time James charged himself with multiple demanding roles simultaneously and he considers it an accomplishment he will be proud of for a long time to come.
